IPL governing council member Farooq Abdullah Tuesday came out in support of Lalit Modi saying the cricket administrator has got into trouble because of his stupendous rise and there was no need for him to resign at this stage.The IPL governing council is to meet April 26 to discuss allegations against Modi of lack of transparency in the IPL bids. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) working committee is meeting May 2.Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee told Lok Sabha Monday that appropriate action would be taken as per law if any wrong doing was found in the manner in which IPL was funded. Yuvi is likely to quit kings punjab XI. If sources are to be believed, one of the two new franchisees is interested in buying Yuvraj Singh if the player makes himself available for sale. It is also learnt that some of the existing franchisees are also interested in having him in their team. Yuvraj himself added enough fuel to this speculation when he told a TV channel last night that he would finalise the future course of action after going through new rules for IPL 4.Reacting to reports that Yuvraj, stripped of captaincy, was keen to switch allegiance with a new IPL franchisee apparently showing interest in him, Kings XI Punjab co-owner Amit Burman said if the player had already decided on leaving, there was not much the management could do.

Sania weds shoaib today at hyderabad- Latest news and photos

Shoaib sania nikaah was held at 1 pm at the Taj Krishna, a private function with close family members as invitees. “Sania wore a red saree that her mother had worn 25 years ago for her own nikaah. Shoaib wore wearing a black sherwani which was made by Shantanu and Nikhil,” said Sania’s spokesperson, Rucha Nayak. However, Hyderabad, and indeed the rest of India may be forgiven for feeling like they now know way more than they ever dared about Mirza’s groom who is a Pakistani cricket.There was high drama at Sania’s residence as the celebrity figure left her posh residence at Jubilee Hills accompanied by her parents, Imran Mirza and Naseema Mirza, and sister Anam Mirza. A battery of cameramen, from print and electronic media, chased the bride to the venue, which was initially kept a secret for security reasons. A close relative of Mirzas described the ceremony, which lasted for ten minutes as a ‘very simple affair’. Family members of Sania and close relatives of Malik including his sisters, brothers-in-law attended the function.The two families later adjourned for lunch at the same venue. 15 people from pakistan had attended the nikaah today.

Im no one to judge what is wrong or what is right as the one above knows the truth. I have done what was the best amicable thing to do as it was getting beyond reasoning as each day unfolded. I have realised that media is part of my family, and request all of you to pray for me and Sania as we are embarking on a beautiful journey of marriage. Im proud to be a Pakistani and me and Sania are over whelmed to see the response in all the people welcoming Sania to Pakistan. Inshallah Sania and I will soon meet everyone personally to thank you all for all the support. Thank you once again for all your support, and lastly if knowing or unknowingly i may hurt someone, please forgive me as your younger brother.

Sachin’s knock helped MI win against RR

Sachin played a super innings and was named the man of the match. Sachin Tendulkar played another brilliant inning of 89 not out and take Mumbai Indians to Semi-Finals as first team with the 37 runs win over Rajasthan Royals in 45th match of 2010 IPLT20 on Sunday, 11th April, 2010 at Jaipur. MI made 174/5 in 20 overs and RR made 137/8 in 20 overs. Sachin is the leading run scorer now and has the orange cap.

Tendulkar once again dominated the match for Mumbai Indians with brilliant unbeaten 89 runs off 59 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes well supported by Duminy 31 and Pollard 25 as they set a competitive total of 174. In reply Rajasthan Royals reduced to 11/3 due to brilliant bowling by Zaheer Khan took 2 wickets for 17 runs and never back in match with late contributions
